Dubai RTA to Launch Four New Bus Routes and Upgrade Over 70 Existing Routes from January 9
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of Dubai New Inner-city Bus Routes, effective 9 January, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public transport services and improve mobility across the emirate.
The initiative reflects RTA’s commitment to providing reliable, efficient, and accessible transportation solutions for all segments of society while supporting Dubai’s growing urban landscape.
Enhancing Public Transport Efficiency in Dubai
In addition to introducing new routes, RTA will also upgrade more than 70 existing internal bus routes. These enhancements will be carried out through adjustments to route alignments and expanded geographic coverage, particularly during morning and evening peak hours.
The changes are designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce travel times, and better connect residential areas with key destinations such as business districts, metro stations, and community hubs.
Improved Services for Bus Users
The route updates form part of RTA’s broader strategy to meet the evolving needs of public transport users in Dubai. By optimising bus schedules and coverage, the authority aims to deliver a high-quality and dependable public bus service that supports daily commuters and occasional travellers alike.
Passengers can expect smoother journeys, better connectivity, and enhanced accessibility as a result of the new routes and network upgrades.
Supporting Sustainable and Seamless Mobility
These measures align with RTA’s long-term vision of becoming “The World Leader in Seamless and Sustainable Mobility.” By continuously investing in public transport infrastructure, Dubai is encouraging the use of mass transit options that reduce traffic congestion and support environmental sustainability.
Residents and visitors are advised to check the RTA website, S’hail app, or Wojhati journey planner for updated route information and schedules ahead of the changes taking effect.
A Step Forward for Dubai’s Transport Network
With the introduction of four new bus routes and the enhancement of over 70 existing services, Dubai RTA continues to strengthen its public transport network. The initiative underscores the emirate’s dedication to smart mobility solutions that keep pace with urban growth and improve quality of life for all.
