New Dubai Buses Now Serving Popular Residential Areas

This announcement comes as a part of the RTA’s initiative to enhance the internal network and strengthen connections with other forms of public transportation in the emirate.

New buses designed to serve two popular Dubai neighborhoods have officially hit the roads. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has introduced two new circular public bus routes, enhancing the city’s transportation network and providing greater convenience for residents.

The first new route is DH1, which runs between Dubai Hills and Equiti Metro Station. The second route, DA2, travels between DAMAC Hills and Dubai Studio City.

DH1 operates as a circular bus service with departures every hour. The first bus leaves Dubai Hills at 7:09 am, with the last trip at 10:09 pm on weekdays and at 12:09 am on weekends (Friday to Sunday).

DA2, also a circular route, has a two-hour frequency between DAMAC Hills and Dubai Studio City. The first journey departs from DAMAC Hills at 5:47 am, and the last trip leaves at 9:32 pm daily. Each ride costs a fixed fare of Dh5.

Adel Mohammed Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, stated that these new routes are part of the RTA’s ongoing initiative to improve the internal bus network and enhance connections with other forms of public transportation in the emirate.

“RTA is dedicated to expanding the public bus network and integrating it more seamlessly with other mass transit systems like the metro, tram, and marine transport. By improving these connections, we aim to make public transportation the preferred choice for residents and visitors in Dubai,” he added.
