How to renew RTA Vehicle?

For renewing RTA vehicle, you can choose any option:

• You can apply online.
• Apply through app : Dubai Drive , RTA Dubai .
• Through Mahboub Chatbot on RTA Smart Apps
• Self-service center, you can check here.

Eligibility

• Companies, residents, and individual clients may submit applications for this service.

Procedure to renew

Vehicles that are exempt from a technical inspection prior to renewal include:

Through Website and Smart Apps

• The client enters the necessary data.
• RTA confirms the insurance and the legitimacy of the vehicle’s technical check.
• The customer uses a credit card to pay the necessary costs.
• One of the following channels is used to deliver the ownership certificate to the customer:
• SMS or e-mail, Self Service Machines by entering the details of the transaction. The customer receives the service from the printer of the Self Service Machine.
• Standard delivery 20 AED.
  Same day delivery 35 AED.
  Delivery within 2 hours 50 AED.
  International delivery 50 AED.
• Customers who own Apple devices can use the RTA Dubai App to access their electronic ownership from their Apple Wallet.

Through Mahboub Chatbot (customers with no RTA account)

• The client types vehicle renewal.
• The client specifies the specifics of the number plate number.
• RTA confirms the insurance and the legitimacy of the vehicle’s technical check.
• The consumer chooses one of the delivery options from the list below:
• Document sent electronically to the customer’s email address on file
• Through the delivery service, the delivery fees are as follows:
• Standard delivery 20 AED
  Same-day delivery 35 AED
  Delivery within 2 hours 50 AED
  International delivery 50 AED.
• The customer settles the fines.
• The customer settles the required fees.

Through Mahboub Chatbot (customers with RTA account)

• The client types vehicle renewal.
• The client types in his username.
• The consumer either chooses a vehicle from the list of vehicles in his account or enters information about another vehicle’s licence plate.
• RTA confirms the insurance and the legitimacy of the vehicle’s technical check.
• The consumer chooses a delivery method from the list below.
• Electronic document sent to the customer’s registered email
• Through the delivery service, the delivery fees are as follows
• Standard delivery 20 AED
  Same day delivery 35 AED
  Delivery within 2 hours 50 AED
  International delivery 50 AED.
• The customer settles the fines.
• The customer settles the required fees.

Through Self Service Machines

• The client chooses online services.
• RTA confirms the insurance and the legitimacy of the vehicle’s technical check.
• The customer enters the vehicle’s information and moves on to the selected service.
• The customer uses a credit card to pay the necessary costs.
• The Self Service Machines’ printer provides the consumer with an ownership certificate right away.
• Customers who own Apple devices can use the RTA Dubai App to access their electronic ownership from their Apple Wallet.

Vehicles that require a technical inspection before their renewal:

Through Vehicle Registration and Inspection Centres

• The consumer arrives at the centre and gives his mobile number to the receptionist at the inspection yard.
• An application link is given to the client by the employee.
• The consumer verifies the token number and the number of the inspection yard where he must verify his car through the link.
• The customer is informed of how much time is left and how the service will be completed inside the yard.
• The customer is informed when the vehicle inspection is finished and given a deadline to pay the inspection and vehicle renewal fees.
  Through the connection, the consumer pays the necessary fees.
• The customer receives the ownership certificate through 1 of the following channels:
• SMS or email
• Self Service Devices by entering the transaction’s specifics. The Self Service Machine’s printer provides the customer with the service.
• Through the delivery service with the following fees:
  Standard delivery 20 AED.
  Same day delivery 35 AED.
  Delivery within 2 hours 50 AED.
  International delivery 50 AED

• 500 AED private light mechanical equipment
• 800 AED public light mechanical equipment
• 800 AED private heavy mechanical equipment
• 1,000 AED public heavy mechanical equipment
• 120 AED trailer and semi-trailer
• 300 AED bus with a number of passengers between 14 and 26
• 600 AED bus with a number of passengers exceeding 26
• 200 AED motorcycle
• +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

The following fees apply if the ownership was abandoned for a period of time greater than a year:
