Who are eligible to apply for a clearance certificate from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai?

Individuals, citizens, residents, and companies are eligible to apply for this service.

Documents required to apply for a clearance certificate from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai

Documents required to apply for a clearance certificate from RTA Dubai for Vehicles owned by individuals:

  • Original Emirates ID
  • Vehicle ownership certificate

Documents required to apply for a clearance certificate from RTA Dubai for Vehicles owned by companies:

  • Official letter in Arabic from the company
  • copy of the trade license
  • Letter of Credit Authorization Form (LCAF)
  • Vehicle ownership certificate

Service fees to apply for a clearance certificate from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai

There are some fees required to apply for this service.

  • 100 AED clearance certificate
  • + 10 AED innovation fee
  • +10 AED knowledge fee.

Validity: Permanent.

Process to apply for a clearance certificate from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai

You apply a clearance certificate from RTA Dubai through 4 ways which are following:

Through website and mobile application:

  1. The customer logs in using the username and password and proceeds to the service.
  2. The customer is required to settle the fees by credit card.
  3. The customer receives the certificate from the Customer Happiness Centre in Deira or Al Barsha or through the email or through a courier company for a charge of 20 AED. The courier company makes 3 attempts to deliver the certificate before sending it back to the centre where the customer collects it.

Through kiosks:

  1. The customer chooses online services
  2. The customer proceeds to the desired service and enters the vehicle’s information
  3. The customer receives the certificate from the printer of the kiosk.

Through service centres:

  1. The customer submits the required documents at the service centre
  2. The customer is required to settle the fees in person.
  3. The customer receives the certificate.

Through call centre:

  1. The customer contacts the call centre on the following number: 8009090
  2. The customer provides the call centre with the vehicle’s plate number
  3. The customer is required to settle the fees by credit card
  4. The customer receives the certificate from the Customer Happiness Centre in Deira or Al Barsha or through the email or through a courier company for a charge of 20 AED. The courier company makes 3 attempts to deliver the certificate before sending it back to the centre where the customer collects it.
