The 29th Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is scheduled to open with great fanfare tomorrow. The third iteration of Dubai Lights, which will take place from January 14 to January 38, will turn Dubai into a bright canvas of lights with captivating drone performances and light art installations.
As the event gets underway, a complimentary Dubai Lights DSF Drone Show, presented by Emarat Petroleum, beckons. Modern drone technology will be used to paint the sky in a synchronized story that will take place at The Beach, JBR, and Bluewaters at 8 p.m. and again at 10 p.m.
Every night of this year’s exhibition will include not one, but two brand-new exhibits. Up to 800 drones will take to the air to create a symphony of colors and shapes, telling stories that will astonish viewers and leave them with lifelong memories.
The show will include Emirati culture into its storyline through an exclusive partnership with respected animator Mohammed Saeed Harib. The first subject is around the significance of the pearl in Dubai, symbolizing wealth, success, and the appeal of the city that is frequently referred to as the “Pearl of the World,” fusing the magic of fairytales with the vibrancy of local customs. The Pearl represents the city’s aspirations, tenacity, and dreams, and the narrative threads through the terrain, highlighting subtle cultural details.
The second theme of the presentation showcases Dubai’s aspirations, ingenuity, and status as a worldwide hub of growth by transporting audiences into the city’s future through the captivating story of an Emirati space explorer. The audience will see how the explorer navigates a futuristic Dubai full of green areas, tall skyscrapers, and cutting-edge technology, showcasing its vision and ambition to push the boundaries with cutting-edge innovations.
