UAE celebrates flag day in every year November 3. In this year 2022, it falls on Thursday. UAE Flag consists of 4 colors which are green, white, black and red. The flag represents the unity of Arabs where it has the 7 Emirates flag color which are Dubai, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Sharjah, Ras al Khaimah, Umm al Quwain
Who created and designed the UAE Flag?
Abdullah Mohammed Al Maainah created and designed in 1971 after reading the Al Ittihad newspaper about “A contest to design UAE nation’s flag”
Flag colors and meaning
As per Al Maainah, the flag color represents the following
- Red: Courage, Sacrifice
- Green: Fertility & Prosperity
- White: Peace & Tolerance
- Black: Emiratis’ solidity and strength of the land.
Dubai Flag & Ajman Flag
Dubai flag is red in color with white combination. Ajman’s flag is also similar to Dubai’s flag

Etihad Rail on UAE Flag Day 2022
On the occasion of the UAE’s Flag day, Etihad rail raised the flag of the United Arab Emirates at Al-Faya Station, the main center for operation and maintenance of the Etihad Railways Network.
