Recently received a traffic fine in Dubai? Here’s some good news for you. The RTA has now launched an innovative service meant to boost convenience for motorists who have to cough up fines imposed by the authority. Now you can pay due fines to the RTA in easy installments through your credit card. The installments can be paid over a period of one year and will not invite interest rates levied by banks. The offer is valid for all vehicles registered in different emirates; however, the installment offer is valid only on fines issued by the RTA. So stop worrying about having to pay your fine at one go
Payment by Credit Card
This service is currently available for those holding credit cards of seven banks such as Mashreq Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, EmiratesNBD, Noor Bank, Emirates Islamic Bank and Commercial Bank International. However, more banks are expected to offer the service shortly. Motorists in Dubai can also pay their RTA fines through cheques, however, this offer is restricted to Dubai registered vehicles only and allows installments only if the accumulated fines amount to Dh5, 000 for individuals and Dh20, 000 for companies.
RTA Dubai Smartphone Application
To pay your due fines, you can download the RTA Dubai Smartphone application through which the payment process can be completed. Make sure you select the 0% Installment Plan. The service is offered to all vehicles in the UAE and has no limit on amounts due to RTA.
The launch of this service contributes to RTA’s third, sixth and seventh strategic goals i.e. People Happiness, Financial Sustainability and RTA Excellence respectively. Needless to say, facilitating customers’ procedures has always been an overriding priority of RTA Agenda.
