Customers can book for a Knowledge test, Yard test, Evaluation test* and a Road test.

• not issued in 1 year after passing the road test
• not renewed for more than 10 years
• withdrawn / cancelled once you got 24 black points

How to apply through Mahboub Chatbot for Road test

• Visit https://www.rta.ae
• Click “Talk to a loved one”

• Once you clicked, a chatbot Mahboob screen will be opened for the chat option
• Ask your question “Book driving test appointment”
• You will be asked for your contact details (Email, phone number). If you wish you can give, otherwise ignore it
• Read the service description and fees.
• Click “Apply now”
• Enter the traffic file number, your year of birth (4 digit)
• Select the date and time slot
• Enter the OTP received in your number
• Pay the required amount by card
• Once done, you will receive the reference number

If the licence expired more than 10 years ago or is not issued after passing a road test, the customer must do the following:

1. The customer applies for Renewing a Driving Licence.
2. The customer enters the required information.
3. The system validates the customer data.
4. The customer books an appointment for the evaluation test.
5. The customer settles the required fees.

Apply Driving test Through Driving Institutes in Dubai

1. The customer submits the learning permit application number.
2. The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments.
3. If the customer requests a remote interpretation of the Knowledge test (available in all languages):
   • The interpreter calls the centre and gets connected with the customer through Skype.
   • The customer takes the exam while the interpreter translates all the questions and options.
4. The customer settles the required fees.
5. An electronic copy of the receipt is sent to the e-mail registered in the system, and an SMS is sent to the registered phone number with a link to download a copy of the transaction receipt.

Can you apply Driving test through Smart Screens (Road test)?

Yes, please follow the below procedure

1. Visit the kiosk. Select “Book driving test appointment”
2. Enter the Emirates ID number or the learning permit application number.
3. Select an appointment slot
4. Pay the required amount to confirm the booking.

Through the Customer Happiness Centre (Evaluation test and Road test after withdrawing or cancelling the licence)

1. The customer submits the required documents at the Customer Happiness Centre in Deira.
2. The customer settles the required fees.
3. The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments. Women apply for the test at the Dubai Driving Center Al Qusais branch, and men apply at the Emirates Driving Center Al Qusais branch.
