Calling all those with a ‘job seekers’ visa, pay attention to your visa’s validity!
Warning has been issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship for six-month visa holders, finding a job. To be on the safer side, know the specific regulations that come with the visa otherwise, get ready to pay the fines. Violators need to pay a fine of Dh100 for the first day, followed by a fine of Dh25 for every day of delay.

What to do in case of Six-Month Visa Expiry?
You must abide by the visa’s law. The six-month job-seeker visa is applicable for those residents who have already left their employment may be by resignation or termination, and are looking for new jobs.The temporary six-month residence is not subject to exemption or extension. Also it doesn’t require a sponsor. You can only transfer his or her residency under a sponsor or leave the country before the visa expires in order to avoid penalties, which include fines and may result in imprisonment and deportation from the state. Violators under the ‘job seeker’ visa are treated the same as violators of a residency visa.

- It’s a temporary visa, approved by the UAE’s leaders so that people can legally stay in the country and seek jobs.
- No sponsor is required for the temporary 6-month visa.
- It cannot be exempted nor extended.
