Rahul Gandhi Meets Sheikh Mohammed In Dubai

Rahul Gandhi, the President of Indian National Congress called on the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to discuss of bilateral relations between the two nations in the 21st century. The Deputy Ruler of Dubai, shed light on the historical relations between the two countries and their solid bonds of friendship. Emphasis was laid on maintaining the relations on the basis of tolerance, mutual understanding and fostering interfaith dialogue. While Rahul Gandhi applauded the big developmental strides made by the UAE, he was impressed by the transformational drive adopted by the country at all fronts. Talking of tolerance, he affirmed that the UAE was an example to be emulated by all world nations. During the meeting, Rahul was accompanied by Sam Pitroda, the Indian Overseas Congress chairman and Milind Deora, the Congress party leader.

Rahul Gandhi addresses the Indian Diaspora

Rahul Gandhi addressed the Indian diaspora at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Addressing the crowd of 25,000, Rahul spoke of “the Idea of India” in the context of 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi. He called for a united India based on tolerance, brotherhood and multiple religions and not a divided country. Also, he declared that special status will be granted to Andhra Pradesh if Congress won the Electoral Polls 2019
