Muslim Prayer Instructions
All muslims must wash themselves before praying (wudu). While praying, muslims must face in the direction of the Kaaba, Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. From any point in the world, the direction facing the Kaaba is called the Qibla. It is denoted by arrows in most of the mosques and prayer rooms in Dubai. Most Dubai malls and government offices have dedicated prayer rooms.
Each prayer must consist of a certain number of Rakat as per below:
Fajr: 2 rakat – Prayer before dawn (before sunrise)
Dhuhr: 4 rakat – Prayer during midday (after the sun has reached its zenith)
Asr: 4 rakat – Prayer during the late part of the afternoon
Maghrib: 3 rakat – Prayer just after sunset
Isha: 4 rakat – Prayer between sunset and midnight
