For a stunning fireworks display on the eve of the New Year in 2023 (Saturday, December 31), Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched special discounts and premium services for water transit modes (Dubai Ferry, Abra and Water Taxi). The event highlights RTA’s efforts to entertain the numerous nationalities, residents, visitors, and tourists who come to Dubai to celebrate this yearly event from all over the world.
These services are provided as part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to interact with customers and give them a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an exciting fireworks display on New Year’s Eve while travelling on maritime transit modes (Dubai Ferry, Water Bus, Water Taxi and Abra). Marine transit users, including locals, tourists, and visitors, are sure to remember watching spectacular firecrackers for the rest of their lives.
To discover more about the voyages of the Water Taxi, Dubai Ferry, and Abra journeys, interested parties can call RTA’s toll-free number (8009090) or send an email to (marinebooking@rta.ae). On New Year’s Eve, Dubai Ferry rides will begin between 10:00 and 10:30 pm and last till 01:30 am (the following day). Between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. and 01:30 in the morning, the Water Taxi and Abra rides will depart (of the following day). The Marina Mall station will serve as the departure point for both the Abra and the Water Taxi (Dubai Marina). Children under the age of two travel free on the Abra and pay AED 125 per person. AED 3000 will be required to reserve the whole Water Taxi.
“Dubai Ferry excursions will depart at Bluewaters Station, Ghubaiba Station, and Marina Mall Station (Dubai Marina). Children between the ages of 2 and 10 go free, and the cost is AED300 for the silver class and AED450 for the gold class (less than two). Starting at Al Jaddaf Station, Al Fahidi Station, and Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station, abra rides will cost AED 125 for adults and are free for children under the age of two.
