The Dubai Media office has announced new relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in Dubai for Hotels, Bars and Restaurants located in the Emirate of Dubai. The relaxations come into effect immediately in light of the higher coverage of vaccines in Dubai and the expectation of herd immunity in addition to the social distancing and mask wearing policies.
Bars are allowed to reopen and can accept vaccinated customers.
Restaurants have been allowed to increase the number of customers per table to 10.
Shisha venues can allow upto 6 customers per table.
Additionally, Wedding events are allowed with upto 100 attendees who must be vaccinated with one of the approved vaccines in the UAE. Sports events are allowed with 70% attendance with vaccinated audience.
Such relaxations for vaccinated customers are similar to the relaxations allowed by the US government for vaccinated US Citizens in USA. Such relaxations entice the population to get vaccinated quickly so that they can return to a normal lifestyle.
The overall message is clear: Get yourself vaccinated!
