Do you enjoy being outside? We’ve planned a journey for you… We have bright weather all year in the UAE, and with blue-flag beaches and rugged natural scenery, there are many opportunities to get away from the city.
A new 10km hiking track in Dubai’s Mushrif National Park will open later this month, on June 20. The free path is open all year and has numerous tracks suited for everyone, from beginners to seasoned hikers.

The mountain trail will include public restrooms, safety instructions, route information, rest spots, sculptures, stairways, bridges, and slopes to provide hikers with the finest views of Mushrif Park’s landscape and fauna.
It should be noted that fires, cooking, smoking, camping, and overnight stays in the forest are prohibited, and adults must accompany children aged 12 to 15.
More about Mushrif Park
Mushrif Park opened in 1974 and is the granddaddy of Dubai’s parks. Dubai’s other recreational areas pale compared to this one, which is more of a national park than a standard picnic in a green field. It even has a Ghaf tree forest covering 35,000 square meters.
Over 70,000 trees have been planted over more than 5.25 square kilometers of land area. It’s so large, in fact, that you can drive through it. A five-kilometer walking, cycling, and running track, two 25-meter swimming pools, and basketball, volleyball, and handball facilities are available.
On the other hand, the Aventura Nature Adventure Park is a highlight for many. This high ropes adventure course, set in a forest of Ghaf trees, provides everything from zip lining to rope course difficulties. You can choose from more than 85 obstacles ranging in age and difficulty level, with circuits spanning five levels ranging from the ground to higher up in the trees. It also has the region’s longest system of tree-top zip lines. Tickets are sold separately from the park admission cost (Dhs3 on foot, Dhs10 by automobile, NOL card payment).
Mushrif Park, like all other parks, has children’s play spaces, grilling areas, restaurants, and canteens, but it also has a train ride, an equestrian complex, and camel riding. A World Village with 13 traditional house models, including a typical German Hausbarn and an elegant Thai house, is also available.
