How do you use TIER?
E-scooter
- Find an e-bike near you on the map in the app.
- Scan the QR code to unlock your e-bike, and to start a ride.
- Push the e-scooter forward to flick the kickstand back, and you’re ready to go.
- To get moving, place one foot on the board and use the other foot to push off. Use the right acceleration lever to gain speed.
- Let go of the acceleration lever to decrease your speed or gently squeeze the left or right hand brake to slow down even more, and to come to a stop.
- Use the left and right indicators to signal your movements to other road users.
- When you’re done, park in a designated parking spot or find a safe place on the pavement away from pedestrians.
- Pull the e-scooter back onto its kickstand, Tap “end ride” in the app and you’re done.
E-moped
- Find an e-moped near you on the map in the app.
- Scan the QR code to unlock your e-moped and to start a ride.
- Open the trunk to get your helmet out and ensure it’s fastened securely on your head.
- If you have a passenger, please make sure that they are wearing a helmet, and that you release the passenger pegs.
- Sit on the e-moped and flick the kickstand back with your left foot.
- Once you’re ready to go, hold in the left or right hand brake and press the GO button in the middle of the front console.
- Use the left and right indicators to signal your movements to other road users and switch on your headlamp if riding at night.
- When you’re done, park in a designated parking spot or find a safe place on the pavement away from pedestrians.
- Flick the kickstand down, return the helmet, lock the e-moped by pulling the handlebars to one side and Tap “end ride” in the app.
E-bike
- Find an e-bike near you on the map in the app.
- Scan the QR code to unlock your e-bike, and to start a ride.
- The cable lock unlocks automatically. Pull the lock out of the cable hole on the right side of the rear wheel and place it in the holder on top of the rear wheel.
- Flick the kickstand back before sitting on the e-bike
- Once you’re ready to go, pedal with your feet. You’ll feel the boost kick in while you pedal.
- Stop pedaling or use the left and right brakes to slow down or stop.
- When you’re done, park in a designated parking spot or find a safe place on the pavement away from pedestrians.
- Flick the kickstand down and tap “end ride” in the app. If your e-bike has a coble lock, insert it back into the cable hole before you tap “end ride”.
