According to its latest survey, Travelers can save money by booking their flights on specific days of the week. The travel search site announced that Thursday is the cheapest day to fly out of UAE. On the contrary, Friday is the most expensive day to fly out of the UAE.
The Cheapest Day To Fly Out Of UAE
Now, you can save more than 10% by switching from a Friday departure day, the most expensive day to fly out, to a Thursday departure day. Surprisingly, Thursday was also revealed as the busiest day to travel. The research also proved that by booking flight tickets on Saturday, passengers can save two per cent compared to booking that on Friday. While Thursday is typically the busiest and the cheapest day to fly out of UAE, if you want to avoid the rush then stay away from the airport on Sunday 1 April. It is the busiest day of the year.
Where to Go? Cheapest Long-haul Destinations
The survey also had a research on the best-value holiday destinations for travelers. According to Skyscanner, Long-haul, Las Vegas ranked on the top with its flight prices down by 21 % this year. It was followed by Zimbabwe’s Harare and Los Angeles offering long-haul value with fares dropping 13 and 9% respectively since 2017.
Where to Go? Cheapest Short-haul Destinations
Talking of short-haul destinations, Oman succeeded to be on the top with Salalah flight prices tumbling by 40 % and Muscat by 14 %. Joining the queue behind them were Larnaca and Tashkent. Their fares were 14 and 13 per cent cheaper. Madurai, Chandigarh and Sharm El Shiekh decreased their fares by 9% in 2018.
