Eid Al Fitr Celebrations
After a 30 day long period of fast and abstinence from a lot of worldly pleasures, on Eid Al Fitr, people come back to their normal, busy lives. Eid Al Fitr celebrations begin with Eid prayers at fajr, or dawn, and involve prayers performed in a group and specific particular rituals and a sermon. As a tradition, Muslims bathe before Eid prayers, wear perfume and new clothes. Eid Al Fitr is celebrated for two or three days by visiting families and loved ones. It is also set to be a big weekend of shopping, and cinemas are set to stay open for 24 hours a day during the festive period. There will be fireworks at Le Mer, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi Corniche, both at 9pm on the first day of Eid, and at other spots around the country.

Emiratis celebrate Eid with long-cherished traditions. The joy of Eid is associated with customs, traditions and folk heritage, from heading to prayer in the morning and exchanging greetings with the community. This is followed by family gatherings in the majlis where people exchange Eid greetings and have a customary meal such as harees, thureed, and Arabic coffee. Some also go to their grandparents house in the morning, have breakfast, eat some traditional sweets, and greet each other

La Mer
On June 5 and June 6, La Mer will host a mesmerising firework show at 9 pm. Lighting up the evening seaside sky will be a dazzling display of fireworks set to impress every La Mer visitor across the two-day celebration.
Dubai Festival City
It’s hosting a special fireworks show on June 5 and 6, where Imagine, the water, lights and laser show has two special Eid shows at night.
Al Seef
Last but by no means least, in honour of Eid Al Fitr, Al Seef will be putting on an impressive celebration which promises to light up the sky over the beautiful Dubai Creek throughout the two days of Eid on June 5 and 6, 2019 at 9.30 pm.
