Dubai Metro Anniversary
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), under the theme “15 Years on Track,” is gearing up to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro. This iconic public transportation system has become a symbol of the city’s rapid growth and commitment to innovation. The celebration will include a variety of promotional and entertainment activities, along with surprises and initiatives designed to delight both residents and visitors, highlighting the Metro’s role in transforming urban mobility in Dubai.
Dubai Metro Anniversary Highlights
- Emirates Post issues limited edition postage stamps dedicated to collectors.
- Introducing a special edition nol card by RTA featuring the campaign’s logo and exclusive design.
- Al Jaber Gallery will present various Metro related memorabilia on this occasion.
- LEGOLAND Dubai is hosting a celebration for “Metro Babies” on 21 September 2024, for babies born in 2023 until the same date on 9/9/2009. Parents of these children can register them through the RTA website (www.rta.ae).
- IGLOO Dubai will sell limited edition ice creams in the Metro format, with a special code on 5,000 sticks of these ice creams. Those who find these codes will win one of the 5,000 nol Terhaal discount cards.
- Visitors will be treated to a variety of musical performances at Dubai Metro stations from September 21 to 27. As part of the 4th Dubai Metro Music Festival organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, metro station visitors.
