Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Themed Airline in Dubai
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates based in Abu Dhabi, has released images of its new Airbus A320neo in the colors of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Sporting the CSK team’s yellow and blue colors and logo, the aircraft is Etihad Airways’ first-of-its-kind innovation and is 20% more fuel efficient than previous generation aircraft. It has been announced that the inaugural ceremony of the aircraft will be held at CSK’s home ground in Chennai in December and will be used for Etihad Airways’ short-haul services.
In February 2024, Etihad Airways became the official sponsor of CSK, and the event to launch the partnership was held in Chennai in front of thousands of fans. In addition, Etihad has introduced whistles and experiential offers for passengers along with CSK’s traditional ‘Whistle Bodu’ theme.
