The first tournament of Dubai’s prestigious polo calendar, the Silver Cup will see nine of the world’s best teams and respected players go head-to-head in an 18-goal handicap competition at the grounds of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.
The Silver Cup is a widely anticipated event that pairs a sophisticated sport with world-class entertainment and fashion sightings. Last year’s edition saw Zedan Polo Team take the winning prize–a victory led by La Dolfina superstar Pablo Mac Donough.
You can experience the matches and cheer on your favourite teams in polo picnic fashion with fun and entertainment for the whole family; or you may also opt to book a fabulous brunch overlooking the polo field.
The Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series (Dubai Open), now on its 10th year is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai. The tournaments under the Dubai Open are the only ones in the region recognised and certified by the World Polo Tour (WPT), attracting both renowned players and high profile crowds to its fields.
